MySpace Proxies - Free Proxy

Welcome to MySpace Proxies!
MySpace Proxies allows your to unblock MySpace or any other web page from anywhere in the world. Simply put in the URL in the MySpace Proxy url box and you are on your way to browsing internet through any firewall there is! The way this works is we have set up a powerful proxy server to which you send requests for myspace or any other site you want proxified and the server processes the site and our free proxy site outputs the site to you! So it does not matter where you are at work or school you can still browse any website as long as this MySpace Proxies site is not blocked by your organization. Unlike many other MySpace Proxy and other free proxy service sites in general we will not force advertisements and pop-ups down your throat, there is a very limited amount of advertisements on the site to support the hosting fees of this free proxy server. Browsing using this free proxy is completely anonymous, the address of the visitor will show up as the IP of this server so you don't have to worry about being tracked down for browsing MySpace or any other web page using this service, how awesome is that? We apologize, but some sites are unavailable using this free proxy service, hence they block all the traffic coming from proxy servers, luckily MySpace is easily accessible using this service :)! Thank you for using our proxy, feel free to vote for us in top proxy ratings on the bottom of the page as that will help us becoming more popular and it will be easier to support the costs of the server. Enjoy this Free Proxy!

Now a little background information on this MySpace Proxies tool:
Firstly what is MySpace?
MySpace is a social networking website offering an interactive network of blogs, sign in user profiles, groups, photos and an internal e-mail system. According to Alexa Internet, as of May 2006 it is the world's fourth most popular English-language website and the eighth most popular in the world. Note that this is based on exceptionally intense usage by a relatively limited number of visitors, many more than five English language sites have a higher "reach" measurement, that is they are visited by more different people each day. MySpace has outstripped competitors such as MSN Spaces, Friendster and LiveJournal to become the most popular English-language social networking website with higher traffic and just over seventy-nine million registered accounts. It has become an increasingly influential part of contemporary teenage culture, especially in the Anglosphere. MySpace has 250 employees and projects a 2006 revenue of US$20M.

Now what is a Proxy Server and what are applications?
A proxy server is a computer that offers a computer network service to allow clients to make indirect network connections to other network services such as MySpace, then it would be considered a Myspace Proxy. A client connects to the proxy server, then requests a connection, file, or other resource available on a different server. The proxy provides the resource either by connecting to the specified server or by serving it from a cache. In some cases, the proxy may alter the client's request or the server's response for various purposes, like trying to unblock myspace

Now more about web based proxy just like this MySpace Proxy one and what they are used for:
A common proxy application is a caching Web proxy. This provides a nearby cache of Web pages and files available on remote Web servers, allowing local network clients to access them more quickly or reliably.

When it receives a request for a Web resource (specified by a URL), a caching proxy looks for the resulting URL in its local cache. If found, it returns the document, or in this case MySpace Profile immediately. Otherwise it fetches it from the remote server, returns it to the requester and saves a copy in the cache. The cache usually uses an expiry algorithm to remove documents from the cache, according to their age, size, and access history. Two simple cache algorithms are Least Recently Used (LRU) and Least Frequently Used (LFU). LRU removes the documents that have been left the longest, while LFU removes the least popular documents.

Web Myspace proxies can also filter the content of Web pages served. Some censorware applications — which attempt to block offensive Web content — are implemented as Web proxies. Other web proxies reformat web pages for a specific purpose or audience; for example, Skweezer reformats web pages for cell phones and PDAs. Network operators can also deploy proxies to intercept computer viruses and other hostile content served from remote Web pages.

A special case of web Myspacce proxies are "CGI proxies." These are web sites which allow a user to access MySpace through them. They generally use PHP or CGI to implement the proxying functionality. CGI proxies are frequently used to gain access to web sites blocked by corporate or school proxies. Since they also hide the user's own IP address from the web sites they access through the proxy, they are sometimes also used to gain a degree of anonymity, to avoid such things as MySpace Tracker.
